Our Story & Mission

Building bridges across generations of Navodayans, transforming shared experiences into collective empowerment.

Our Identity

United by Roots, Driven by Purpose

We are a vibrant community of Navodayans from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas across West Bengal, united by shared roots and enduring values. Though our members now span India and beyond, we maintain strong bonds through dedicated platforms and initiatives that connect generations of JNV alumni.

Our network represents diverse professions, cultures, and experiences—all anchored by the common thread of Navodaya education that shaped our formative years.

Our Genesis

BAAJ emerged from a deeply personal realization: As young graduates stepping into the world, we faced critical gaps in career guidance, financial literacy, and professional mentorship.

Many of us navigated pivotal career decisions without access to scholarships information, bank schemes, or industry insights—leading to avoidable detours in our professional journeys.

Our Purpose

Driven by the moral compass instilled in us at JNV, we built BAAJ to create lasting impact through:

  • Comprehensive career navigation for young Navodayans
  • Knowledge-sharing platforms across industries
  • Preserving the "Pay Forward" ethos of our alma mater
  • Fostering lifelong connections through statewide chapters
